Birch Park Retreat, LLC is a fully furnished retreat house located in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley, only 3 miles from Historic Downtown Stillwater.

Q:  When is check-in/check-out?

A:  Check in is 4:00 pm, Friday.  Check out is 3:00 pm, Sunday.  Please feel free to request variances as there may be some flexibility.  We can usually do a check-in as early as 11am!

A: There are 25 – 6’ tables, lots of overhead lighting and an adjustable, wheeled task chair at each table. (Padded banquet chairs are also available if you don’t care for wheeled chairs.) The workshop area is at ground level so you can walk/roll right in!  There is also a ramp to the upper level workshop space.

Q: What craft tools are available?

A: There are many items including a computer and printer/scanner, 12" paper cutter, deckle paper cutter,  shape makers, Xyron machine, etc.  We have a Klic-N-Kut  computerized die cutter that can cut any font installed on the computer and our computers have many fonts.  There is also a library of idea books and magazines. We are always adding tools, please let us know what you would like to see.

A: We have found that many people want to "Retreat" but don’t care to stay over night. Because Birch Park Retreat is so close to the Twin Cities, some guests may decide to drive home to sleep in their own beds.

A: There are 5 sleeping areas.  Bedroom #1 is downstairs and has 4 twin beds and one full bed.  Bedroom #2 is also downstairs with 2 twin beds.  Bedroom #3 has 3 areas: area #1 has 3 twin beds,  #2 has two twin beds  & #3 has one twin and one full bed.    Bedroom #4 is the host room on the main level with two twin beds.   There is also a pull out sofa in the Reading nook.  Each bed is made up with fresh, clean sheets, a quilt and pillow with pillowcase. Please bring your own extra blanket (for extra warmth, if needed) and towel/washcloth. (We do have some extra towels and blankets in case someone forgets.)

A: You can always come with fewer guests, but the weekend rental rate remains the same.   If you would like to find out availability for booked dates, please email us at info@BirchParkRetreat.com with the dates you are interested in and we can put you in touch with the weekend coordinator.   We also have Hosted Weekends that are designed for individuals or small groups.  For a hosted weekend, we supply the food, fun, and fabulous space! Q. What about food for a non-hosted  weekend?
A. Your group supplies the food for the weekend. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and silverware for 25, pots and pans, utensils, 3 crockpots, coffee maker/filters, and everything that you need to prepare your meals!  We do supply coffee, hot tea and cocoa and a case of bottled water for our guests.   To make breakfast quick and easy, we supply an assortment of oatmel, a Waffle maker, waffle mix and syrup .  If you are interested in eating out, historic Stillwater is only 3 miles away with LOTS of great restaurants and Hudson is only 5 miles away with even more dining choices! A list of restaurants is posted at the Retreat or you can email for a listing prior to your visit. 

A: Birch Park Retreat does the cleaning for you.  We ask that upon check-out you strip the linens off your bed, load the dishwasher and gather the garbage into one spot.

A: Birch Park Retreat is located at 1349 27th Street, Hudson, Wisconsin, near the intersection of Cty Rds V & E - only 3 miles from Downtown Stillwater, MN and about 5 miles from Downtown Hudson, WI.  We will send more detailed directions upon receipt of reservations.

·       On weekends, a 2-night minimum stay is required

·       Birch Park Retreat is air-conditioned

·       We have a small library of DVD’s but feel free to bring you own!

·       The phone has local service only, please bring a phone card or your cell phone.

Once you book a weekend, you have first priority to book it for the next year! 

Q:   What is your payment policy?

A:    A non-refundable deposit is required within ten days of making a booking.  The balance of the payment is due thirty days before you arrive at Birch Park Retreat.  If you cancel your stay less than 30 days prior to arrival, your rental fee is non-refundable.
